Sales and Cancellation Conditions

Bookings for European Snow Pride are handled by our booking partner Tignes Reservation, which has all the tourist amenities and financial guarantees required by European laws on the sale of holiday packages.
We remind in the tabs “Particular Sales Conditions” and “Particular Cancellation Conditions” the specific booking and cancellation conditions that apply to any booking of an European Snow Pride holiday (i.e. containing at least the Event Pass).

These conditions in English do not replace the conditions in French which are the only ones to apply. The translation of the conditions into English is provided for the purposes of ease of understanding only.

European Snow Pride (ESP for short) is an event produced by the company Talance Consulting, domiciled at 1 rue Augereau in Melun (77000), France, registered in the Melun Trade and Companies Register under the number SIREN 482196177, hereinafter referred to as the Organiser.

The sale of European Snow Pride holidays, i.e. including at least one European Snow Pride Event Pass, is carried out through Tignes Réservation and is governed by the French Tourism Code which sets out the general conditions for carrying out activities relating to the organisation and sale of travel or holidays.

Below are the special conditions of sale relating to the booking of a European Snow Pride holiday. These conditions replace the special conditions of sale of Tignes Réservation for the sale of packaged holidays.

Insurance

Tignes Développement has taken out an insurance policy with MMA (Mutuelles du Mans Assurances) covering its professional civil liability.

Talance Consutling also undertakes to take out professional liability insurance before the start of the European Snow Pride event.

Booking and payment terms

The deposit due at the time of booking, more than 30 days before arrival, amounts to 30% of the total cost of the booking. This can only be paid online by credit card (except AMEX).

Less than 30 days before arrival, the full amount is due.

All bookings will be subject to a booking fee of €20 charged to the customer by Tignes Réservation, whether or not the booking includes accommodation.

Reservation of the Event Pass for all persons in a file is compulsory for any reservation of accommodation or an option offered on the European Snow Pride website.

The balance of the booking can be paid :

– By credit card (except AMEX) from the Customer account on the online sales site website

– Connect holiday vouchers from the Customer account on the online sales website

– By holiday vouchers (ANCV) sent to the address :

– For payment in several instalments, the Customer may :

➢ Go to their online Customer account and make several payments by entering the amount of their choice

➢ Contact Tignes Réservation, who will send the Customer secure payment links

If no payment is received from the customer 30 days before the arrival date, the balance of the booking will be deducted automatically from the customer’s credit card which was used to pay the deposit.

In the event of non-compliance with the contractual commitments made, Tignes Réservation will be obliged to cancel the reservation.

In the event of cancellation of the reservation contract no reimbursement of sums already received by Tignes Réservation will be made.

Availability of the accommodation at the time of the reservation request

The availability of the accommodation requested during the booking request procedure on the European Snow Pride website is not guaranteed. The availability of the accommodation requested is guaranteed 3 days after the customer has received the pre-reservation email including the payment procedure sent by Tignes Réservation. If the amount corresponding to the payment of the deposit or the total amount (depending on the booking period) is not received by Tignes Réservation within 3 days of the date of sending of the pre-reservation email, an automatic cancellation email will then be sent to the customer and the availability of the requested accommodation will no longer be guaranteed.

Prices

Prices are given in Euros, inclusive of all taxes (excluding VAT, associated ‘Travel Agency travel agency’ regime). As Tignes Réservation acts as the Organiser, elements such as tourist tax, the amount of the deposit, linen hire options, cleaning, etc. may vary

Prices are expressly mentioned in the booking proposal or contract.

Once the reservation has been confirmed, Tignes Réservation cannot retroactively apply any discounts and promotional offers on products linked to specific conditions of sale.

The reference price for any European Snow Pride accommodation or option is the price in Euros shown on the description page of the accommodation or option in question on the European Snow Pride website. In the event of a price difference between these pages and any other communication provided to the customer, whether by e-mail, telephone or booking form, the prices on these descriptive pages prevail and constitute the price to be paid to acquire this accommodation or option.

In the event of the addition of an Event Pass, ski pass and other options displayed on the European Snow Pride website to an existing reservation, subsequent to the date of creation of the reservation file, the pricing conditions applicable to the added Event Pass, ski pass or option are those valid at the time of the addition.

Tourist tax

For bookings of accommodation provided by professional hirers, the tourist tax is not included in the prices indicated and must be paid directly to the accommodation provider on site.

For bookings of accommodation provided by private owners, the tourist tax must be paid at the time of booking online.

The current rates and terms and conditions can be found on the following page: https://taxesejour.tignes.net. As the rates are reviewed every year by the town of Tignes, an adjustment of the amount will be requested accordingly for the duration of the stay.

Length of stay

The length of stay included in the tourist packages and described in the booking proposal or contract is from the first night of the stay to the last, excluding transport chosen by the customer. The times at which accommodation is made available on the first day and vacated on the last day vary according to the accommodation provider. They are expressly mentioned in the booking documents sent to the Customer.

Provision of vouchers

One week before your arrival, and provided that your booking has been paid in full, you should download your vouchers from the European Snow Pride website (Reservation menu, ‘Print your vouchers’ submenu). These vouchers contain all the information needed to take possession of your accommodation (if applicable) and to access the European Snow Pride options.

Responsibility

It is the Customer’s responsibility to find out about the services and prices and to select the most suitable before making the reservation. The Organiser cannot be held responsible for the Customer’s choice.

In the event of the failure of a service provider during the holiday and except in cases of force majeure, the Organiser will do everything possible to replace the failing services with equivalent services.

Under no circumstances will the Organiser be held liable if the inability to provide the agreed services is due to an event of force majeure.

It may happen that unexpected construction work is undertaken near the Client’s accommodation. Tignes Réservation declines all responsibility for any inconvenience caused and has no influence on the progress of the work. The Client may not claim compensation.

Likewise, the Organiser cannot be held responsible for the reduction or cancellation in the low season of the entertainment and tourist services offered by the resort of Tignes and/or its economic players (cinemas, shows, nurseries, sports shops, restaurants, food shops, etc.).

Processing and protection of personal data

SAGEST Tignes Développement is required to process data concerning you for the purposes of managing the commercial relationship within the framework of a contractual relationship as well as to comply with its legal obligations. This data is kept for 5 years after the end of the contractual relationship and then archived for a period not exceeding that required by law.

Tignes Développement complies with the obligations arising from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data and Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended, known as the ‘Data Protection Act’, and guarantees the implementation of technical and organisational measures to ensure data protection. Tignes Développement has appointed a Data Protection Officer with the ‘Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés’ (French Data Protection Authority) and makes every effort to ensure the compliance of the processing of personal data and the rights of the persons concerned. In accordance with the legislation relating to the protection of personal data, you have the right to access your data, the right to rectify it, the right to delete it, the right to object to it being processed, the right to limit its processing and the right to portability. Subject to a breach of the above provisions, if you feel, after contacting us, that your data protection rights have not been respected, you may submit a complaint online or by post to the CNIL.

Furthermore, by booking a European Snow Pride holiday, the customer accepts :

– that their details will be provided to the Organiser, who undertakes not to pass them on to third parties.

– to be photographed or filmed during the holiday and authorises the organiser to use these photographs or films of the customer for promotional purposes.

 Health formalities relating to Covid-19

The customer who makes the reservation and all the people in the reservation file undertake to comply with any health formalities applicable during the dates of the European Snow Pride 2025 stay, put in place, where applicable, by the authorities of the country of residence, by the country of transit or by the French authorities, whatever form they may take: compulsory tests, wearing of masks, full vaccination course, etc.

The customer and the members of his/her booking file undertake to provide, where applicable, any health or vaccination certificates that may be required by the French authorities in order to take possession of the accommodation booked and to be able to take part in the events and activities booked and scheduled during European Snow Pride week. Any refusal or inability to provide the certificates requested, where applicable, will result in the cancellation of the holiday without any refund being possible for the customer or the members of his or her booking file.

It is the customer’s responsibility, as well as that of the members of their booking, to find out in advance about any formalities that may be required, whether for their transport or their stay, by the authorities of their country of residence or the country of transit, or by the French authorities.

In any event, it is strongly recommended that the customer and the members of their booking file take steps to ensure that they are up to date with their Covid-19 vaccination for the dates of their European Snow Pride 2025 holiday.

Modification or cancellation by the customer

Any request for modification or cancellation made by the participant must be sent to the organiser in writing in any form and may incur variable costs payable to the Organiser.

In all cases, the application fee and insurance premium will be retained and cancellation penalties as described below will apply where appropriate.

It is recommended that you take out a holiday cancellation and interruption insurance policy, including holiday civil liability, with Chapka/Tranquiloc through Tignes Réservation at the time of booking. This cannot be added after booking. Otherwise, we recommend that you take out your own cancellation/travel insurance.

For all requests to modify or cancel a stay made :

– more than 60 days before the date of arrival for any element or component of the holiday (accommodation, activities, date of stay, number of participants, etc.), if possible, will incur administration costs of a minimum of €15 and a maximum of 50€ per booking

Interruption of stay : no refund or reduction will be given in the event of late arrival or early departure during the customer’s stay.

Changes to the event programme

The programme of events may be modified at any time, in particular to take account of weather conditions or health requirements, without any refund being possible if an alternative to the event initially planned is offered.

Pets

Pets are allowed where the accommodation permits. The acceptance of pets is indicated on the description page of the accommodation offered on the European Snow Pride website by a pictogram and a written statement specifying the conditions of acceptance.

Pets are not accepted in the case of a Special Offer booking, even if the accommodation can theoretically accept them.

Cancellation insurance

We recommend that you take out a holiday cancellation insurance policy with Chapka/Tranquiloc, offered by our booking partner Tignes Réservation, at the same time as booking. The customer must inform Tignes Réservation, as soon as the booking is confirmed, of the name and permanent address of all the members of the booking file, in order to benefit from the guarantees provided by this insurance. This insurance cannot be added after booking. Otherwise, we recommend that you take out your own cancellation/travel insurance.

Replacement of the Event Pass on site

Any Event Pass that is detached, torn, cut or lost will be considered invalid and will not be replaced. The customer may, however, purchase a new one on the basis of a rate calculated pro rata temporis to the price of the Event Pass on site, from European Snow Pride Customer Services. For example, the cost of replacing a detached, torn, cut or lost Event Pass on Wednesday is 3/7 multiplied by the price of the Event Pass on site.

Free replacement is only available if the Event Pass is attached too tightly to the customer’s wrist. Only in this case, to obtain a free replacement, the customer must present the Event Pass still attached to his wrist.

Behaviour

Any behaviour resulting in a risk or causing harm to other clients, the event and the members of the European Snow Pride team or the service providers of the European Snow Pride organisation will result in the immediate withdrawal of the Event Pass, without refund, thus preventing any access to the events and activities planned during the European Snow Pride for the rest of the week. Similarly, any aggressive, rude or insulting behaviour will not be tolerated and may, if necessary, lead to a complaint being lodged with the Police.

Complaints

Any complaint relating to a stay in progress must, in order to be taken into account, be sent to Tignes Réservation in writing within the third day of occupancy, failing which the complaint will not be upheld. The organiser’s response to the complaint will depend on the investigation which may be carried out with the service providers.

Tignes Réservation endeavours to offer the most reliable and qualitative information possible concerning the accommodation and services sold. However, the descriptions and illustrations of the services offered (visuals, locations, distances, etc.) are given for information only and have no contractual value. They are updated regularly, and unless the service is substantially modified, this cannot be a reason for cancellation or complaint by the customer.

Cancellation by the customer of one or more services may not be the subject of any reimbursement or consideration by Tignes Réservation.

The customer is hereby informed that he/she may in any event have recourse to conventional mediation, with the existing sectoral mediation bodies, or to any alternative method of dispute resolution (conciliation, for example) in the event of a dispute. In this case, the designated mediator is :

Failing agreement between the parties, any disputes relating to the formation, performance and/or interpretation of the Contract or its termination will be submitted to the Albertville court.

When booking your European Snow Pride stay, we strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, whether personal insurance or that offered by Tignes Réservation (according to AREAS Contract conditions 01049724, FORMULA 2, please consult the page: https://reservation.tignes.net/medias/images/info_pages/ipid-tranquiloc-fr-81.pdf).

To be taken into account, any cancellation request must be sent by email to the Organizer.

Your cancellation request must include:

– the number of your Tignes Reservation, your first and last name

– the reasons for your cancellation request

– official supporting documents (medical, professional certificate, etc.) relating to your request

If you have not taken out cancellation insurance or if it does not cover the reasons for your cancellation, the following cancellation penalties apply.

For any cancellation:

  • before 31/10/2024, refund of the amount paid, but processing fees (and possible cancellation insurance fees) are not refunded
  • between 11/01/2024 and 31/01/2025, cancellation penalties amount to 30% of the total amount of the stay and administrative fees (and possible cancellation insurance fees) are not reimbursed
  • between 01/02/2025 and14/02/2025, cancellation penalties amount to 50% of the total amount of the stay and administrative fees (and possible cancellation insurance fees) are not reimbursed
  • from 15/02/2025, cancellation penalties amount to 100% of the total amount of the stay and administrative fees (and possible cancellation insurance fees) are not reimbursed.

For any partial cancellation of a reservation (cancellation of an option), the penalty percentages defined above apply but relate to the total amount of the canceled option, and not to the entire file.

Any modification of reservation resulting in a change of accommodation corresponds to a cancellation of accommodation. The penalty percentages defined above apply but relate to the total amount of the canceled accommodation and not the total amount of the stay.

Any modification of reservation resulting in a change in the number of occupants in an hotel room will result in the payment of a supplement (the supplement per person to be paid is equal to the difference between the price/person of the accommodation with the level of occupancy after cancellation and the price/person of the accommodation with the occupancy level before cancellation).

In the case of a cancellation by a person in a Special Offer file, the cancellation penalties defined above relate only to the share of the person canceling in the total file.

Any reservation not paid in full at 11:59 p.m. on February 14, 2025 (CET) may be canceled without notice and the cancellation conditions provided above will then apply.

Relaxation of cancellation conditions for ESP2025 in relation to Covid-19 only for reservations in a DeLuxe Special Offer or including accommodation in a CGH Jhana, CGH Ferme du Val Claret, CGH Nevada residence:

In the event of the following events occurring, for any European Snow Pride 2025 reservation, it is possible to change your stay dates for your accommodation only, for the 2024/2025 winter season, but other services are not reimbursed:

– Closure of borders by the French government due to COVID-19

– Closure of borders by the government of the customer’s country of origin or by a transit country due to COVID-19

– Home country government bans non-essential travel due to COVID-19

– Mileage limitation on travel around your home due to COVID-19

– Quarantine or fortnight (or any other duration of confinement) imposed by France or by the country of origin due to COVID-19

– In the event of a government decree requiring us to close the accommodation you have booked due to COVID-19

– Closure of the station and/or ski lifts linked to COVID-19

  1. For the 3 situations below linked to the COVID 19 health crisis:
  2. By government decision, the borders of the customer’s country of life are closed and will be closed on the dates of their stay, preventing customers from traveling to France.
  3. The customer lives in a region where confinement is in force and will always be so on the dates of their stay.
  4. Restrictive travel measures are imposed by the French authorities as a travel limitation, or quarantine obligation for travelers coming from the client’s place of life (to be applicable the quarantine must be compulsory – not applicable in the case of voluntary quarantine ). Restrictive measures must always be in force until the day before the customer’s stay.

Tignes Réservation undertakes to offer the client a postponement to another date during the winter season

2024-25. When these measures have already been taken for the customer’s date of stay, the latter can carry out this possibility of postponement up to 15 days before arrival. If a customer does not come forward, it will be considered that the customer has decided to come for their stay with full knowledge of the facts.

If one of the above situations arises less than 15 days from arrival Tignes Réservation will offer the client a postponement to another date during the 2024/2025 winter season.

  1. The situations below are excluded and do not fall within the scope of the COVID relaxation:

– The departure or destination airport is closed for health reasons,

– The means of transport chosen by the customer to transport them to their place of stay has been canceled for any reason.

– The ski area has taken the decision to unilaterally partially or completely close its area without a decision or decree from a French government authority.

  1. In the event of a total closure of operation of the ski area, to which the residence is attached, by an administrative measure emanating from the French national or regional authorities, the customer will have the possibility of modifying his reservation in another CGH establishment at the same date, or a stay on another date in winter 2024/2025 without supplement or maintenance of your initial reservation. No cancellation without charge will be granted.
  2. If a containment measure is decided upon during a stay, consequently leading to an interruption of the stay, Tignes Réservation will invoice in proportion to the number of days of the stay.

Any interruption of stay, emanating from the customer, because a travel restriction measure will be in force after the initial end of the stay, will not give rise to a revision of the rate and the stay will be billed at 100%.

For a DeLuxe Special Offer reservation, participants sharing the same apartment must work together to define a new stay date according to the conditions above. In the absence of unanimity, the date of stay retained for postponement of stay is the date defined by a majority of participants sharing the same apartment. In the absence of a majority, the date of stay selected for the postponement of stay will be drawn randomly from the dates proposed by participants sharing the same apartment. No refund of accommodation will be possible for people who do not accept the date of stay thus chosen. We remind you that for the DeLuxe Special Offer, only accommodation is affected by this relaxation. Other services (Event Pass, ski pass, etc.) will not be reimbursed.

For any reservation excluding the DeLuxe Special Offer or not including accommodation in a CGH Jhana/CGH Nevada/CGH Ferme du Val Claret residence, no relaxation of the cancellation conditions is planned, and the general cancellation conditions described above are apply.

Our reservation partner Tignes Réservation offers the subscription of insurance for nationals of the European Union (AREAS Contract 01049724, FORMULA 2) guaranteeing a reimbursement of the stay if the Insured tenant cannot leave for the following reason: if the Insured , their Spouse or a member of their Family as well as any person usually living with the Insured has been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 before the planned departure date of the trip (upon presentation of supporting documents and medical certificate).

This insurance also covers other cases (death, accident, illness of yourself or a member of your family, dismissal, obtaining a job, professional transfer or withdrawal of paid leave, serious damage caused to the vehicle of the insured, lack of snow, natural events preventing the stay (access road cut, etc.).

IMPORTANT: for any subscription to cancellation insurance (AREAS Contract 01049724, FORMULA 2), the customer must communicate to Tignes Réservation (at the time of booking) the name and permanent address of each participant in the stay via a form present in the booking confirmation.
